Lots of people dream of becoming a manager and manage people and do anything to get the positions however little do they realise that management isn’t an easy task. You have to go through the jobs you will be managing in the future before you can now how to manager and handle a team of employees.

This is where many managers have gone wrong. They think they can do it and become managers however as soon as their first month in management, they can’t handle the pressure and quit!

The best managers and the one the employees will like the best are the Managers who have been through the same job as the employees for a long time and are very good at the job. This is the sort of manager the employees will really like as they will look up to him or her as a role model for their future career. And the employees will have a lot of confidence in their advice and guidance as the manager has much more experience than that of the employees.

I think some of you won’t agree with me? Or would you…

I read somewhere a while back that the more successful businesses and companies are those which contain the lease levels of management. In my opinion this is better also for a large variety of reasons which I wont go into but to mention some:

When there are a lot of levels of management, then employees won’t feel too comfortable, especially the new employees and there would probably be lots of internal hatred which would lead to one group of managers going against another group of managers! This is the last thing you want in your business so keep this in mind!

Many people ask the question about management being easy and ask many other people who have experience of management that is Management easy and is managing people a simple task.

Now, most of the people will say management is difficult and leads to a lot of pressure but think about it a bit and ponder over this.

Many will come to the conclusion that yes, management is difficult however if a person is very organised then there will be no problem. If after being organised, the pressure still remains, then you can safely say, the managers are doing their job well and higher management are not.

I can guarantee you that in most industries and work places, employees who are not managing anyone and are managed by a manager think to themselves that management is very easy and there is nothing to it.

Many people have thought this before and have gone into management even before they were ready for this and everything is smooth only for a very short period of time and then? Pressure begins to build up and mistakes start to happen.

It doesn’t stop there. Complaints are heard, the company and business starts to suffer and this; is only; the beginning. Fin.

What’s the deal?

Generally, senior managers are generally very well paid as there jobs involve a lot of pressure and new managers are usually quite young who are not paid too well but many companies will reward them well once they do their Management well for some time.

Very simple right?

What are your thoughts?

If you are a small company with a group of about 5 people then there’s no need for hiring a manager as it would be pointless because they will probably only manage one person and that will be half the time only.

On the other side, when your company begins to grow and you begin to hire new staff then having a manager is very important otherwise it can slow down your company considerably. What’s very important is you assign a manager early otherwise it may become very difficult to assign one after.

Let me tell you, although management may seem easy, it’s not as simple as you think. You need to know how everything works and need to have some good experiace of being under a manager and need to see how they work

Once you have this, then you’re on your way to becoming a great manager!
